Accepted Answer

Most service calls are scheduled the same day or next day. Emergency calls are prioritized 24/7.

Question 9

What should I check if my AC is running but not cooling?

Accepted Answer

Check that the thermostat is set to cooling and that the air filter is not clogged. Keep supply vents open and make sure the outdoor unit has clear airflow. If you see ice on refrigerant lines, turn cooling off and arrange service rather than continuing to run the system. Do not open electrical panels or add refrigerant yourself. Weak cooling can have several causes, so a diagnosis is more useful than replacing parts at random.

Question 10

How do I decide between repairing and replacing my HVAC system?

Accepted Answer

Compare the diagnosis, repair cost, equipment age, warranty coverage, and history of breakdowns. A single repair does not necessarily mean a system needs replacement. Repeated failures, uneven temperatures, or an expensive major-component repair may make replacement worth discussing. Ask for the scope of each option, including any ductwork or thermostat changes, so you can compare like-for-like estimates. Efficiency alone does not guarantee a particular bill reduction.

Question 11

Could a mini split be suitable for an addition or garage?

Accepted Answer

A ductless mini split can provide heating and cooling to a space without extending existing ducts. Suitability depends on insulation, room size, electrical capacity, and where indoor and outdoor units can be installed. Equipment should be sized for the space rather than chosen only by floor area. Consider condensate drainage, outdoor clearances, and access for future filter cleaning and maintenance before deciding on a location.

Question 12

What information helps when requesting service?

Accepted Answer

Describe what the system is doing, when the problem started, and whether it affects the whole property or only certain rooms. Include any unusual sounds, thermostat messages, or visible leaks. Photos of the equipment label and the affected area can help explain the issue; the contact form accepts photos. If there is smoke, a burning smell, or a suspected gas leak, leave the area and contact the appropriate emergency service before arranging HVAC work.
